About Me |
Hi! I'm a photographer in Cebu, in the Philippines. My particular interest is portraiture. I prefer shooting people to shooting landscapes as the former are far more visually engaging.
A lot of people ask me about my equipment. I believe that the photographer's eye, experience and enthusiasm are more important than equipment, but I do use the best lens ever made. I use film for portraits and digital for macro shots, such as product close-ups. In Cebu, many people seem to believe that digital is better than film, so I've written a short piece about Film vs Digital.
As far as possible, I shoot using natural light.
I conduct workshops, for the benefit of hobbyists and semi-professional photographers keen to hone their art. The only condition for joining is that you understand English (or Japanese!), love photography, and own a camera.
In Cebu, my work has appeared in the SunStar and on various websites.
